Modern Slavery Act 2015 – Statement

At Judy Plum Wigs, we are committed to conducting our business ethically and with integrity. We recognise the importance of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and take seriously our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.

Our Business

Judy Plum Wigs is a supplier of wigs and hair products, sourcing materials and finished goods from a variety of domestic and international partners. We serve retail, salon, theatrical, and medical markets.

Our Commitment

We oppose all forms of modern slavery and forced labour. We are committed to:

  • Working only with suppliers who share our values and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Maintaining transparent and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Continuously assessing and improving our processes to identify and address risks.

Policies and Due Diligence

To support our commitment, we have:

  • An Anti-Slavery Policy which sets out expectations for our employees and suppliers.
  • A Supplier Code of Conduct requiring suppliers to comply with international labour standards, including prohibitions on forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking.
  • A due diligence process that includes risk assessments and, where appropriate, requests for suppliers to complete self-assessment questionnaires or provide evidence of their compliance.

Training and Awareness

We provide training and guidance to staff involved in procurement and supply chain management to help them identify signs of modern slavery and understand how to report concerns.

Looking Forward

We are committed to regularly reviewing our policies and procedures to strengthen our approach to tackling modern slavery and human trafficking.

This statement has been approved by senior management of Judy Plum Wigs and will be reviewed and updated annually.
