Hello, thank you for choosing Judy Plum Wigs! We've created this guide to help you find the most suitable wig for your specific needs and taste. In this guide we will try to cover some of the main aspects and characteristics involved with each type of wig construction, style and fibre.

We hope this guide helps you find the right product for you, but, if you have any questions please do not hesitate getting in touch with a member of our team.

First time buyers normally pick a wig that feels familiar to them, and we have divided our wigs in three main styles: short length, medium length and long length. The wigs on our website have been arranged in this way so you can quickly look at all the wigs available in your desirable length, and then decide on other preferred elements in choosing your wig.

This could be the most common question that our clients ask us. There is not really a better or a worse option, it's just that each type has very particular qualities that suit different needs. So, in a nutshell here are the main characteristics of each type of hair:

Human Hair Wigs
Synthetic Hair Wigs

Even when two wigs look exactly the same from the outside, the inside or "construction" can be completely different. These factors can make a huge difference on the suitability and characteristics of the user needs.

*Please NOTE - some wigs can include two types of constructions, making a wig aesthetically better or lighter to wear.

98% of people fits an average cap size, this is because all of our wigs have adjustable pull-straps to secure the wig to most heads comfortably and safely. Our Petite size is suitable for children and adults with smaller heads. Here's a guide of the different circumference sizes:

Ensure when measuring for your wig your hair is as flat as possible.

Using soft measuring tape, measure from the front of your hairline, round above your ears to where your neck bends, just under the bone. Finish by continuing to bring the tape measure around your head back to where you started measuring at the hairline.

We hope this guide has helped you to feel confident in what wig will suit you best.
