Wig Buying Guide

You can pick you own style or we can help you pick one that will work with your look. First time buyers normally pick a wig that feels familiar to them, but you can always come and try different styles and colours until you find the one that is right for you. We also have an in-house stylist that can make changes to your wig to make it that bit more personal.

For our online buyer we divided our wigs in 3 main styles: Short length, medium length and long length.

This could be the most common question asked to us by our clients. There's not real better or worst option, its just that each type has very particular qualities that suit different style of needs. So in a nutshell here are the main characteristics of each type of hair.

  • As natural as a look can get
  • More durable and lasting
  • More versatile than most synthetic wigs as heat can be applied to the hair to style it
  • Higher cost
  • Requires more maintenance

  • Can look and feel very similar to human hair
  • Lighter
  • Come in a bigger variety of colours
  • Lower cost
  • Low maintenance
  • Limited styling as heat can not be applied to most of this type of wigs **we do offer some heat resistant synthetic wigs**

Even when two wigs look exactly the same from the outside the inside or "construction" can be completely different. These differences can make a big impact on the suitability and characteristics of the user needs. To learn more about each construction type, have a look at our explanation below:

  • The most natural looking type of wig, as each hair is set individually creating a natural look
  • Extremely light and comfortable, making it ideal for sensitive scalps
  • Best styling options, as each hair can be worked in any direction
  • Top of the line wigs normally will have this type of construction

  • Cap creates the illusion of natural growing hair from the scalp, very popular in wigs with a pronounce parting
  • Very comfortable and easy to wear
  • Low maintenance and easy to wash
  • MOST popular wig construction
  • This type of construction can be full or partial on your wig. It can be: Full monofilament, monofilament top or crown (covers the top area of the head), monofilament parting (covers only the parting of your wig style)

  • This is an extra option for a more natural look. This type normally is combined with one of the other constructions mentioned above.
  • Creates a natural looking hairline
  • Helps styling the hair away from the face
  • Ready to wear
  • Careful handling as it's a delicate material
